What are Sessions?

The session principle suggests dividing the work process into fixed-length stages. For example, dividing each hour into 45 minutes of work time and 15 minutes of rest time (45/15). Clearly defined boundaries of work time and rest time will help avoid distractions and procrastinate less.

Different people may use Sessions technique differently.

For some, strictly defined stages, measured down to the minute, will work better. For others, it will be better to "negotiate with yourself", slightly shifting the boundaries of work and rest if necessary. However, you should be careful here. Shifting the boundaries of sessions can easily break down the work process and all the positive effects of increasing productivity will disappear.

There are hard days sometimes when you can't achieve a measurable result by the end of the day. Either the task is too difficult or you don’t really want to do it. Then the risk of getting stuck in feed scrolling increases several times. Working in sessions will reduce this risk and, moreover, will allow you to know that you did everything you could, even if you failed to achieve any results.
